Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or is it?

Every day we encounter places, documents, or that cute girl/boy on the bus you suddenly find attractive. Often this is very personal, but there are features which are generally considered as beautiful.

So what is the role in science of such a subjective topic?

We've assembled five speakers, with different backgrounds and insights, who will shine their light on the subject. We'll discover what makes butterflies so colorful, come across beautiful mathematics, explore why some theoreticians find elegance in theories and formulas so important and look at beauty from a philosophical point-of-view.
